Son of former Nigerian goalkeeper and coach, Joe Eric (Erico) also known as Jogo bonito have vowed to sustain the sports legacy of their father as long as possible through the Erico Sports Legacy Foundation.
Michael Oluwaseun Eric one of the sons of the late ex-Green Eagles goalkeeper said they are using the Erico Sports Legacy Foundation Basketball Clinic tagged Reflect, Evolved Always Progress (REAP) at Ilupeju Courts Lagos to arouse and sustain interest of kids U14-18 with basketball potentials.
Michael Eric who is a professional basketballer with Turkish side, Turk Telekom in the Super League (Euro Cur) after stints in Spain, USA, Russia and Greece, stated that they are committed to inspiring the best young basketballers at the clinic to become superstars in the nearest future.
“Our dad was such a great Football and Basketball lover and actor.
“Apart from serving Nigeria meritoriously, Dad was excellent in giving his family quality lifestyle that included Education and Sports.
“He practically inspired us to love soccer and basketball, beside regularly teaching discipline, fear of God and excellence in sports,”said Michael Eric who alongside other members of the Erico Sports Legacy Foundation presented certificates, balls, canvases and goodies and to over 50 kids that attended the clinic.
