The Police in Anambra’ State have arrested five suspected political thugs who were allegedly mobilized to disrupt the House of Assembly election in the state.

The State Police Command’s Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Toochukwu Ikenga, said the suspects were arrested in Ihiala town.

Four pump action guns weee recovered from them.

Ikenga said: “Five armed thugs were arrested in Ihiala and four pump actions recovered.

According to him,”CP Aderemi Adeoye who is heading the command’s personnel on election duty said that thuggery would not be allowed during the election.
