By Ben Ogbemudia

As early as 7am on Saturday, heavily armed security operatives took over Abuja city center to prevent the breakdown of law and order before, during, and after the Federal Capital Territory Area Council elections.

At wuze zone 3, the ever-busy market was fully shot down as military men in conjunction with the police manning the entry and exit to the market.

Karshi, Yanyan, jabi, Karimo, Nannex Bwari were also heavily monitored by the joint security operatives.

Though there is low turnout in many of the polling units visited, while some persons deliberately stay away from the election, some used the opportunity to queue up at fuel stations to buy PMS, while some complained of politicians using them to achieve their self-interest and later dumped them.
