UNIZIK student bites, assaults lecturer for interrupting her video recording

There was a mild drama at the Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK), Awka, Anambra State as a female student of the institution allegedly assaulted a lecturer, Dr Chukwudi Okoye for interrupting her while she was recording a dance video.
In a now-viral video, the lecturer tapped the student on the back to get her attention saying, “excuse me” as he needed to pass.
However, the History department student who was infuriated by the action of the lecturer asked, “Who does this man think he is?”
Curiously, the Theatre Arts department lecturer turned to know if she was his student.
Dr Okoye then approached the student, asking her to delete the recording because his face was captured in it. However, the situation escalated, and she ended up biting his hand multiple times.
While the man tried to restrain her by holding her hands, reports claim that she went berserk, tearing the lecturer’s clothes, slapping him, and scratching his face.
The video showed the moment the female student attacked the lecturer, leaving onlookers in shock. Despite efforts to separate them, the student continued to lash out at the academic staff, causing an uproar within the university environment.
It was reported that the student’s mother is a lecturer in the Engineering department at the same institution.
