Gubernatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Lagos State, Abdul-Azeez Adeniran a.k.a Jandor has hailed Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State for his stellar performance in terms of infrastructural development in his state.
Speaking on Thursday, Jandor lamented that Lagos State generates more revenue than Rivers, yet Governor Wike had commissioned more projects than his Lagos counterpart, Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
Jandor stated further that Wike was “miles ahead of Sanwo-Olu”, adding that there was “an urgent need to create a government that will work for Lagosians, not a set of people.”
He said, ”This is not how Lagosians should be living, despite the Internal Generated Revenue of the state.
Wike: We’re ready for voting revolution
“Look at Rivers State, they are not generating revenue as much as Lagos state does, but you can see Governor Wike commissioning projects everyday.
“The derivation funds received by Rivers State is nothing compared to what Lagos state government is generating but Wike has achieved a lot more than Sanwo-Olu by a very large difference.”
