Plateau crisis: 3 UNIJOS students feared death, 2 missing

At least 3 students of the University of Jos have been feared killed, while 2 others declared missing following the recent crisis that broke out after commuters were attacked and killed along Rukuba road on Saturday.

Our correspondent also gathered that 5 other students are also receiving treatment in a hospital in the State capital as a result of injuries sustained during the attack on innocent and defenseless students in their hostel.

Comrade Jeremiah Matthew Dalong, Chairman National Association of Nigerian Students, NANS University of Jos chapter made the disclosure while speaking to our correspondent in Jos.

He called on the Plateau State, Federal Government, and the Management of the University of Jos to as a matter of urgency send food to students stranded at the hostels or arrange to evacuate them to go and met their parents for the time being.

According to him,  2 of their students have been declared missing stressing that they have not been seen since the crisis broke out in Jos the Plateau State capital.

He further lamented that students are stranded in their various hostels because of the 24hours curfew imposed on Jos North LGA by the Plateau State Government. They had no food as the foodstuff at the gallery has been exhausted.
“The food vendors to have disappeared. Even if you have money, there is nowhere you can see the food to buy as the little you see, the prize has been hike beyond what the students can afford.
