
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Monday established a committee to review its Establishment Manual and Scheme of Service.
The two other committee inaugurated by the party National Secretary, Samuel Anyanwu, at the party national secretariat in Abuja were Tenders and Staff Audit Committees.
Anyanwu said that the terms of reference for the Establishment Manual committee chaired by himself included ” to go through the contents of the manual and possible areas of amendment.
“To find out if the suspension of the law should be sustained, or revoked.
“To find out if the manual is in line with modern management systems and practices or be redrafted.
“Finally, to recommend to NWC policy guidelines on the issue of the suspected manual.”
Anyanwu added that the enders committee also chaired by him was established to ensure accountable in contracting the party’s job.
He listed the terms of reference as ” to receive tenders for contracts in excess of the spending limits of the principal officers of the party and process same in such a way that due process are met.
“To submit recommendations arising from contracts evaluated to the NWC for consideration and approval.
“To carryout any other activities that would lead to transparency and accountability in handling contracts beyond the approval handling limits of the part’s officers.”
He listed the third as Staff Audit Committee which is to ascertain who were staff of the PDP, to be chaired by the party Deputy National Secretary, Setoji Kosheodo.

“To ascertain the staffs strength at the party national secretariat and the PDI, their period of deployment, the qualifications of staff to ensure they are suitable for the job and their remunerations.”
Anyanwu said that the tender committee was a standing committee of the NWC, while the two others committees have up to Jan. 31 to submit their reports to NWC for approval.
He urged members of the committees to take their assignments serious and do their best working within the time line.(NAN)
