Organised labour suspends nationwide strike

The Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, and Trade Union Congress of Nigeria, TUC, have suspended the ongoing strike.
The unions embarked on a nationwide strike over the assault on the NLC President, Joe Ajaero, among other pending issues.
This decision was reached at a joint NEC meeting between the leadership of the TUC and NLC after the intervention of the National Security Adviser (NSA), Nuhu Ribadu.
The unions had embarked on strike over the assault on the NLC President, Joe Ajaero in Imo during a protest against maltreatment of workers by the Hope Uzodimma administration.
Organised Labour on Tuesday last week, said it woul commence a nation wide strike on 14 November which they eventually did.
