Presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi has reacted to the arrest of Senator Ike Ekweremadu and his wife, Beatrice over an allegation bordering on organ harvesting in the United Kingdom.
ThisNigeria reported that the Metropolitan Police had announced the arrest of the couples over an allegation that they brought a homeless minor from Nigeria to harvest his kidney for their ailing daughter, Sonia Ekweremadu.
The Uxbridge Magistrates Court denied bail to the Ekweremadus and ordered that they remain remanded in jail until July 7th.

Reacting to the situation via Twitter on Friday, Peter Obi prayed for Sonia’s healing and committed the couple into God’s hands.
“My family and I are with the Ekweremadu’s over their travail. We join all men of goodwill in praying for the healing of their daughter and commit them into God’s hand for justice to be done,” the tweet read.
