A middle-aged man simply identified as Oladeji Saheed has reportedly jumped into River Osun from Gbodofan bridge in Osogbo causing panic among the residents that leave in the area.

Sources said Oladeji Saheed, a resident of Osogbo had made several attempts to commit suicide before he finally jumped into the Osun River on Gbongan/Osogbo road around 7 am on Monday morning.

It was gathered that the man lives alone without family, and friends, beside the Osun river in Osogbo.

However,the man was luckily rescued with help from residents of Osun Ambulance and Osun state Fire service.

As of press time, the man is said to be receiving medical attention.

It would be recalled that a lady also jumped into the same River last Thursday after she reportedly made a call to somebody.
