The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has appointed the outgoing Director of Protocol of the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA), Alhaji Sani Musa Daura, as his Senior Special Assistant on Protocol Matters.
The appointment was disclosed in a statement issued on Wednesday by the Minister’s Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications and Social Media, Lere Olayinka.
According to the statement, Sani Daura is a seasoned civil servant with over 30 years of experience in the FCTA Protocol Department. He was appointed Director of FCT Protocol in 2019 and is scheduled to retire from the civil service on January 24, 2026.
The statement further noted that his appointment as Senior Special Assistant on Protocol Matters will take effect from the date of his retirement from the civil service.
The Minister commended Daura’s years of dedicated service and expressed confidence in his capacity to bring his wealth of experience to bear in his new role.
