
A Sharia Court (II) sitting at Magajin Gari, Kaduna State, on Thursday granted pardon to a scavenger, Rabiu Isah, who stole a Tecno phone worth N39,000.
The Judge, Mr. Murtala Nasir, pardoned Idaho, 32, who admitted guilt and pleaded for mercy.
Nasir admonished Isah to go back to Sokoto State where he said he came from, manage his life and stay out of crime.
He warned that severe lawful actions would be taken against Isah if caught in crime again.
The prosecutor, Insp. Aliyu Ibrahim had told the court that Mr. Rilwan Mohammad of Kurmin Kabala, Kaduna, reported the case of theft on March 25 at Sabon Gari Police Division.

Ibrahim said that Isah who had no fixed address, on the same date, went to Muhammad’s motorcycle mechanic workshop on Kigo Road and stole the phone.
He said that during the investigation Isah admitted to committing the crime.
Ibrahim noted that the offense contravened Section 271 of Kaduna State Penal Code, Law of 2017.
