The six kidnap victims of the University of Abuja (UNIABUJA) staff quarters have been identified.
Chairman of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), Abuja chapter, Dr Kassim Umaru gave their names during an interview with Arise News monitored by ThisNigeria on Tuesday.
According to Dr Kassim, the attack began at about 12:30 am and lasted for more than two hours.
He listed the names of the victims as Professor Joseph Obanza, Dr Ferguson Tobis, Professor Bassey Ubom alongside his nine-year-old son and a female relative and Malam Sambo Mohammed.

Kassim stated further that the bandits took advantage of the porosity of the school’s security to strike.
A senior lecturer of the institution, Dr Godwin Okaneme described the attack as “well-syndicated and coordinated.”
“The attack happened opposite my quarters. The hoodlums went on for about two hours with no form of help in sight,” he said.
