Wike arrives in Dubai for 2025 Asia Pacific Cities Summit and Mayors’ Forum

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has arrived in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, to participate in the 2025 Asia Pacific Cities Summit and Mayors’ Forum (2025APCS) taking place this week.

 

His Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications and Social Media, Lere Olayinka, disclosed this in a statement issued from Dubai on Monday.

 

Wike, who departed Abuja on Sunday, touched down in Dubai at about 4 a.m. on Monday.

He was received at the airport by Nigeria’s Consul General in Dubai, Ambassador Zayyanu Ibrahim, alongside senior officials of the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) who had arrived earlier.

Members of the FCTA delegation include the Acting Executive Secretary, Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA), Engr. Richard Yunana Dauda; Senior Special Assistant to the Minister on Legal and Multilateral Cooperation, Benedict Daudu; Director of Development Control, Mukhtar Galadima; Director of Engineering Services, Engr. Chuks Udeh; and Director of Protocol, Sani Musa Daura.

 

According to the statement, Wike will on Tuesday morning lead a discussion panel where he will field questions on developments in the FCT and engage with mayors of other capital cities from around the world.

 

Organizers of the 2025APCS noted that the summit aims to foster long-term value for cities and businesses seeking trade and investment opportunities across the Asia-Pacific, Middle East, Africa, South Asia, and beyond.
