Alleged suspension: Chief Orbih demands immediate retraction of statement by PDP NWC

National Vice Chairman (South-South), Dan Orbih has demanded an immediate retraction of a statement announcing his suspension, which was released by the National Working Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP NWC).

In a letter addressed to the acting National Chairman of the party by Orbih’s legal counsel, George Ibrahim of O.J Onoja and Associates, the PDP stalwart also demanded the immediate dissolution of a six-man committee headed by the party’s Deputy National Chairman (South), Ambassador Taofeek Arapaja to investigate trumped up allegations on him.

Recall that on May 10, 2024, a Federal High Court in Abuja had restrained the PDP, Paulinus Ibode and other defendants from suspending Orbih over allegations of sabotaging the party.

However, the PDP NWC announced his suspension on July 10, 2024.

Reacting, Orbih demanded an immediate retraction of the suspension announcement, adding that legal action will be taken against the defendants if they refuse to do so.
