Mary Elizabeth Truss, Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Affairs of the United Kingdom is set to become the new Prime Minister of the United Kingdom.

Truss won the election with a total 81, 326 votes to beat rival Rishi Sunak who polled a total of 60,399 in the Conservative Party’s election.

She will take over from former prime minister Boris Johson to become Conservatives Party’s fourth Prime Minister.

Following her emergence as the new PM, Truss will become the third female to be UK Prime Minister after “Iron Lady” Margaret Hilda Thatcher and Theresa Mary May.
