A lady simply identified as Ada Joy Okonkwo has recounted how her mother made her stab her new born baby to death.

The incident happened at  Olocha-Adogba in the Awgu Local Government Area of Enugu state on November 7th,2022.

The 18 years old mother of the victim disclosed that her mother, Mrs. Christiana Okonkwo gave her a knife to kill her baby the same day she delivered the child.

It was gathered the Mrs. Christiana Okonkwo was angry at her daughter for getting pregnant out of wedlock, therefore she forced her daughter to stab the baby to death after birth.

Miss okonkwo also said her mother attempted to make her abort the pregnancy, but stopped for fear of endangering her life in the process.

Confirming the incident in statement the state commissioner of police,  CP Ahmed Ammani, has ordered the State Criminal Intelligence and Investigation Department to carry out proper findings on the alleged murder of the baby his mother and grandmother

In his statement, Ammani disclosed that the mother of the child used a kitchen knife to stab the infant under the influence of her mother after her delivery at their residence.

According to him, the baby was rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced dead by the doctors and was subsequently taken to the mortuary for preservation and autopsy
