Fire guts Lagos Airport

The international wing of the Murtala Muhammed Airport in Ikeja, Lagos was on Wednesday morning gutted by fire.

It was gathered that the fire outbreak occurred in some parts of the baggage hall at the number one gateway airport.

The fire had already damaged a portion of the FAAN administrative office the previous night, according to reports.

As of the time of filling this report, all passengers and staff have been asked to evacuate the building while the Lagos State Fire Service was on hand to complement that of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN).
