Senators would donate their December 2023 salaries, amounting to N109m to the victims of the military airstrike in Tudun Biri, Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
The Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Jibrin Barau, according to a statement by his media aide, Ismail Mudashir, announced this at the Kaduna Government House when he led a delegation of the Senate to the state yesterday.
The senators, the statement explained, were received by the State Governor, Senator Uba Sani.

Barau said the money would be sent to the state governor for onward delivery to the victims.
The Governor, it stated, thanked the senators for their donation.
The Senate delegation comprised the Senate leader, Senator Opeyemi Bamidele; the Chief Whip, Senator Ali Ndume; the Minority Leader, Senator Abba Moro; and the Deputy Minority Leader, Senator Kamorudeen Olarere.
Others were, Senator Abdulhamid Malam-Madori; Senator Aliyu Ikra Bilbis; Senator Ibrahim Bomoi; Senator Ibrahim Lamido; and Senator Abdulaziz Yar’Adua.
The rest were; Senator Victor Umeh; Senator Muntari Dandutse; Senator Lawal Usman; and Senator Emmanuel Udende.
The state added that the federal lawmakers were also at the Barau Dikko Hospital to visit the victims.
