BREAKING: Ajegunle police station in flames

Police ban protests and gatherings

Another police station, in Layeni area of Ajegunle has been burnt.

Located at Ojo road in Apapa, the police station is being razed by fire.

As hoodlums hijack the once peaceful #EndSARS protests, the atmosphere becomes charged.

Meanwhile, the police say that they have deployed operatives to flashpoints in the state and they hereby ban any protests or gatherings.

Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi, made this known in a statement on Tuesday saying, “Lagos State Police Command wishes to inform the general public that henceforth, no protest or gathering or possession, under whatever guise, is permitted.

“Some of our policemen were critically injured and unconfirmed reports state that one of them is dead. Its crystal clear that the End SARS protest has been hijacked by hoodlums who want to run down the state.”

He referred also to the 4 pm curfew that will be imposed today reiterating that the Police Command will resist anarchy and unrest with all powers within the ambit of the law.
