Okorocha’s 14 aides to pay N5m each as bail

The fourteen aides of former governor of Imo state and Senator representing Imo West Senatorial district at the 9th Nigerian Senate, Senator Rochas Okorocha, who allegedly destroyed security vehicles and unsealed Imo state government seal at Royal Palm Estate on Akachi Road, Owerri which the government had seized from his wife, Nkechi has been granted bail by a magistrate’s court sitting in Owerri.

The 14 aides who joined the Senator in the unsealing of Okorocha’s wife’s property on Sunday included Eberendu Chiimechefulem, Steve Asinuobi, Obasi Goodluck, Nwaiwu Ndubuisi, Median Ijeoma, Obor Victor, Ucheka Claudin, Sunday Chisom, Ekpendu Peace, Nev F. Raphael, Basil Mba, Steve Asimobi, Ebere Nwokeji and Olu Chizoba were arraigned on Monday on a six-count charge, breach of public peace, possession of firearms and unlawful destruction of the official seal of the Imo Government.

Magistrate B.U Adikaibe ruling on the bail application made for the release of the defendants, granted them bail to the tune of N5m each.
