Victory for PDP in Esan South East

It was another victory for democracy/ rule of law as the Court of Appeal sitting in Benin City declared a landmark judgment in favour of Hon   Peter Iziogie Aguele as authentic Chairman of Esan South East council

This is coming on the heels of the outer of incumbent Chairman Victor Osobase Emukhagbon by the court.

Recall that Emukhagbon had challenged a lower court’s judgement that delivered judgement in favour of his opponent which had earlier ended his reign as council Chairman

Moreso the Appeal Court also directed him to refund all salaries he collected from the council within the period under review.

It will be recalled that Victor Osobase Emukhagbon had in the year 2018 when he was not a card carrying member of the party, neither his name found anywhere within  the party’s register nor collected the party’s nomination/ expression of interest form and never contested as Chairman in the first place had his name submitted to the Edo State Independent Electoral committee (ESIEC) by the godfathers as the chairmanship candidate of the party at the expense of  the valid and authentic chairmanship candidate of the party whose name was illegally dropped.

According to a press release made available to ThisNigeria; “As a result, Hon Peter Iziogie Aguele who is a patriotic Nigeria and would not take laws into his hands therefore headed to the law court which is the last hope of the common man except godfathers who play God.

On the 20th day of march 2020 as divine providence could affirm victory for our democracy through a history judgement, the illegal council Chairman Mr Victor Osobase Emukhagbon was consequently removed and directed by the court to refund all the salaries he has so far received from the council while the Validly elected authentic council Chairman Hon Peter Iziogie Aguele was declared the Validly elected council Chairman and was Therefore sworn- in as same.

“The illegal Chairman Victor Osobase Emukhagbon rather than heed to the voice of reasoning instead threw caution to the wind in a bid to further advance his mischief  and head to appeal and in a landmark judgement today the appeal court have set aside Victor Osobase Emukhagbon evil machinations via prayers and upheld the historic judgement of the lower court and subsequently declared Hon Peter Iziogie Aguele as the Validly authentic Chairman of Esan South East local government council while Mr Victor Osobase Emukhagbon (illegal Chairman) is consequently directed to in addition pay the sum of five hundred thousand naira to the authentic council Chairman Hon Peter Iziogie Aguele as compensation.

“We therefore call on Mr Victor Osobase Emukhagbon to immediately refund the two years salaries he illegally extorted from Esan South East local government council to the council and the five hundred thousand naira to the Executive Chairman of Esan South East local government council Hon Peter Iziogie Aguele without further delay…
