Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, and Chairman Adhoc committee on constitution review, Honorable Idris Wase has admonished members of the committee to strive to give Nigerians a Peoples oriented constitution
He stated while addressing stakeholders at a retreat that the House will also be critical in considering local government , electoral and judicial reforms during this next round of review of the 1999 constitution
He told his colleagues that the amendment exercise was an opportunity for them to write their names in gold by ensuring that Nigerians got a people -oriented constitution, especially the electoral review which would set the tone for another electoral process towards attaining democratic growth.

The Deputy speaker who also admitted that the country was passing through serious challenges, due to heavy and noticeable lapses in local government administration , assured that something drastic will be done this time around, in addition to looking at issues about states creation and women participation in governance
