A mammoth crowd on Thursday gathered at the Synagogue Church of All Nations for the lying-in-state of the late prophet, Temitope Balogun Joshua, popularly known as TB Joshua.
People from all walks of life thronged to the church premises as early as 6 am to pay their last respects to TB Joshua who died on June 5th, 2021.
Thousands of merchandise bearing photos of the late prophet were sold to members.
Hundreds of members walked through a sanitizing chamber placed at the entrance of the church, in a single file, as part of measures put in place to prevent the spread of COVID-19 at the church premises.
Paying her last respect to the deceased, a former Vice Presidential candidate of Ghana, Professor Nana Jane Opoku Agyemang described TB Joshua as a philanthropist who looked out for everyone irrespective of their backgrounds.
“He was a very good man that gave a lot to the less privileged. TB Joshua left his mark in the sands of time. He was a gift to humanity and I know it would be hard to see someone like him again in a very long time because he lived his life in the service of God and humanity,” she said.
General Manager of Super Sports, Felix Awogu, disclosed how TB Joshua once gave the sum of $150,000 to support the Nigerian Olympic team.

“He contributed to the development of sports in Nigeria. I remember that he once gave the Nigerian Olympic team the sum of $150,000 as his own contribution to their efforts. I do not think there is anyone who could do what he did. He was a very good man and I pray his soul rests in eternal peace,” Awogu said.
