The Federal Secretariat in Delta State, Asaba has been engulfed by fire.
According to reports, the fire started in the early hours of Tuesday.
The complex, which is located along Okpanam Road in Asaba, houses annex offices of Federal ministries, departments and agencies in the state.

It was also learned that the state fire service is overwhelmed by the inferno, thereby calling for reinforcement from the fire service at Asaba Airport.
The cause of the fire has yet to be ascertained at the time of filing this report.
