ADS Delta boosts education with back-to-school support for Agbarho pupils

The Delta State chapter of the Agbarho Descendants Society (ADS) last week lit up the faces of schoolchildren in Agbarho with its annual Back-to-School (BTS) Programme.
This year’s outreach targeted two primary schools in Orho-Agbarho — Agbarho Model Primary School and Unity Primary School — where pupils received educational materials to kick-start the new academic year.
The event drew dignitaries and community leaders, including representatives of the Osuivie of Agbarho Kingdom, His Royal Majesty Samson Owhe Ogugu. Chief G. Ojoba, Chairman of the Agbarho Traditional Council of Chiefs, stood in for the monarch, highlighting the kingdom’s endorsement of education-driven initiatives.
ADS Delta State chapter was led by its Lord Mayor, Mr. Peter Akpoveghor, accompanied by his executive team.
They were joined by the National President of ADS-Worldwide, Chief Akpomejevwe Achohra, and the National Coordinator, Barrister Prince Ejenavi Isodje, who together presented the supplies to excited pupils and appreciative teachers.
Headmistresses of the beneficiary schools, Mrs. Eze Patience Omakpokpose (Agbarho Model Primary) and Mrs. Atuyota (Unity Primary), praised the society’s consistency in supporting grassroots education.
They described the donation as a timely boost to children’s learning, motivation, and preparedness for the school year.
The ADS Back-to-School programme has become a flagship initiative of the society, aimed at easing parents’ burdens, equipping children in public schools, and reinforcing the community’s commitment to education as the foundation of development.
