The University of Benin on Tuesday said there was no confusion about the status of its Chancellor, in the person of the former Emir of Kano, Mohammad Sanusi II.
The University stated this in a rejoinder by its Public Relations Officer, Benedicta Ehanire to a report in ThisNigeria, and said that Muhammadu Sanusi II remains the University’s Chancellor.
According to Ehanire, “Stating the fact clearly, the University is not in any confusion regarding the Chancellorship of the Institution”.
She added that as a result, the University still has portraits of Muhzmmadu Sanusi II on display across the University campus adding that, it was false to report that “Mallam Sanusi’s pictures have been moved from strategic places”.#
