Excerpts:

What inspired you to start The Firstborn Tribe?
I was inspired by the unique challenges and pressures that firstborns face in many families. From childhood, they are often expected to be leaders, caregivers, and role models. I realised that many firstborns grow up feeling a deep sense of responsibility, sometimes at the cost of their own well-being. I wanted to create a space where firstborns can connect, and pray because I strongly believe in prayers, share experiences, and receive guidance on thriving in this role.

What is the mission and vision of The Firstborn Tribe?
Our mission is to empower firstborns by providing a community that supports their growth, spiritual life, mental wellness, and leadership potential. We aim to offer mentorship, resources, and programs that help firstborns navigate their responsibilities without losing themselves in the process. Our vision is to create a global network of thriving firstborns who understand their value, embrace their strengths, and become impactful leaders in their families and society.

How does The Firstborn Tribe plan to support its members?
We have a range of initiatives designed to empower firstborns, including conferences, mentorship programs, networking events, workshops, and prayer meetings, both online and in-person. Additionally, we’ve established online communities across different states in Nigeria and countries worldwide, providing a space for firstborns to share their struggles and successes. To further support their growth, we collaborate with psychologists, life coaches, and leadership trainers, offering tailored resources that nurture their emotional, spiritual, and mental well-being.

What makes firstborns different from their siblings?
Firstborns often experience a unique upbringing. They are usually given leadership roles in the family, expected to set an example, and sometimes carry parental responsibilities at a young age. While this can build resilience, it can also lead to emotional and psychological burdens if not managed well. Our goal is to help firstborns embrace these traits positively while ensuring they don’t sacrifice their own needs in the process.

What challenges do firstborns commonly face, and how does your organization address them?
Some of the biggest challenges include pressure to succeed, Parental neglect, emotional suppression, lack of support, and burnout from always being the responsible one. We address these through peer support, prayers, Parent workshops(training them on how to raise whole firstborns), mental health awareness programs, and leadership training that helps firstborns find balance and fulfilment.

Why should organizations and potential sponsors support The Firstborn Tribe?
Firstborns are natural leaders, and investing in their well-being is an investment in stronger families, communities, and workplaces. By supporting The Firstborn Tribe, organizations contribute to developing emotionally intelligent, responsible, and high-achieving individuals who can make a positive impact in society. Our programs align with leadership development, youth empowerment, and mental health advocacy, making it a great fit for corporate social responsibility initiatives.

What collaborations are you looking for?
We are looking to partner with organizations in mental health, leadership development, education, and family wellness. We also welcome collaborations with companies that believe in empowering leaders and strengthening family dynamics. Sponsorships would help us expand our programs, support more firstborns to become financially stable to attend to their responsibilities, offer scholarships for firstborn mentorship, and increase outreach through events and digital platforms.

What impact has The Firstborn Tribe made so far?
We have already engaged with a growing number of firstborns who have shared how our community has helped them navigate their roles more confidently. We’ve events and hangouts, shared insightful content, and connected firstborns with mentors who understand their struggles. As we grow, we aim to reach more people globally and establish structured programs that create long-term impact.

How can people join or support The Firstborn Tribe?
Anyone can join our community by following our social media platforms (@thefirstborntribe), attending our events, or signing up on our website www.thefirstborntribe.org. We also invite professionals, mentors, and sponsors to contribute their expertise or resources. Those interested in supporting us financially or in kind can reach out to us via [our website or +2349121005974].

What is your ultimate goal for The Firstborn Tribe?
Our ultimate goal is to build a global movement that recognizes, supports, and celebrates firstborns. We want to ensure that firstborns are Empowered, not just seen as responsible figures but as individuals with their own dreams and aspirations. Through our work, we hope to create a generation of firstborns who lead with confidence, nurture healthy relationships, and live fulfilling lives.

Do you have any upcoming projects or events that people should know about?
Yes! We are planning a Firstborn Conference, where firstborns will engage in mentorship sessions, panel discussions, and workshops on leadership and emotional well-being. We also have a storytelling campaign where firstborns from different backgrounds share their experiences, inspiring others who may be facing similar challenges.

How do you measure the success of The Firstborn Tribe?
Success for us is seeing firstborns thrive and empowered, whether it’s through personal growth, improved relationships, or career achievements. We also conduct surveys and feedback sessions to refine our programs, ensuring they remain relevant and effective to the firstborns.

What is your message to parents raising firstborns?
Parents play a huge role in shaping the firstborn experience. My advice to them is to support their firstborns emotionally, allow them to be children instead of overburdening them with responsibility, and recognize their individual dreams beyond family expectations. A healthy firstborn leads to a healthy family dynamic. This is why we also have a segment dedicated to educating parents on how to raise whole, confident firstborns.

How can the general public contribute to this cause?
Everyone can be part of this movement! People can contribute by spreading awareness, sharing our content, volunteering as mentors, or providing financial support. Even something as simple as acknowledging and understanding the unique struggles of firstborns can make a big difference. We encourage individuals and organizations to reach out, collaborate, and help us create a world where firstborns don’t just survive under pressure but thrive in their full potential.
