
It was a rowdy Sunday in Kano as thousands of residents converged at Malam Aminu Kano International Airport to receive Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf back home from Abuja.
Yusuf was warmly received by his deputy, Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo; Speaker of the state House of Assembly, Isma’il Jibrin Falgore; Chief of Staff, Alhaji Shehu Sagagi; Head of Service, Alhaji Abdullahi Musa, members of National and State Assemblies from Kano; members of Kano state executive council; Special Advisers, among thousands of red cap loyalists of Kwankwasiyya movement.
The Governor’s triumphant return amidst a mammoth crowd after the hearing of his appeal at the Supreme Court against the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC) further testified to his strong popularity and wide acceptance by the Kano people.

With the huge crowd of cheerful admirers and well-wishers, it took the Governor’s convoy about two hours to journey between Malam Aminu International Airport and Sani Abacha Stadium where Governor Yusuf was warmly received.
The excitement of the governor was vividly apparent on his face as he could not even put his hands down in exchanging pleasantries to the cheering of the crowd.
