Officials of the Lagos State Directorate of Public Prosecutions have arrested celebrity businessman, Ikechukwu Ogbonna, popularly known as IVD, on his way to Qatar for his wedding with controversial self-acclaimed relationship expert, Blessing CEO.
The auto dealer was arrested and detained at Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos on Friday.
The development was confirmed by popular blogger, Stella Dimoko-Korkus in an Instagram post on Saturday.
The blogger revealed that IVD’s arrest has to do with the death of his late wife, Bimbo Ogbonna.
“A Domestic Violence case against him regarding his late wife is still in court. IVD is not supposed to leave Nigeria until the case is over,” Stella Dimoko-Korkus said.
Bimbo died in October 2022 due to injuries sustained from a fire incident resulting from domestic violence in their Lagos residence.
The Lagos State Government charged IVD with one count of involuntary manslaughter in suit No LD/21055C/23.
