
Ajowa community in Akoko Northwest local government area of Ondo state, a border town that has witnessed huge security challenges recently, has cried out to the Federal government, Ondo state government, and Security Agents to save their souls from incessant attacks by criminals.
The spokesman for the community Jacob Adegoke at a town hall meeting on Monday lamented the bitter experience of the residents in the last two years in the hands of the criminals among the herdsmen which subjected residents to killings, maiming, raping, and kidnapping by the criminals.
Adegoke urged government to consider the geographical location,being the last border town in the South West,sharing border with the North.
This according to him has made Ajowa vulnerable to numerous attacks.
It would be recalled that four persons have been killed recently,many kidnapped with heavy ransom paid.

The chairman, Ajowa community and a retired Anglican Bishop, Rt Revd Ezekiel Dahunsi gave kudos to Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu’s efforts on security matters particularly the funding of Amotekun corps in the state.
The cleriv disclosed that the community didn’t relent efforts on spiritual aspect as inter denominational prayers are always organized while local vigilante groups are being paid by sons and daughters of the community to complement regular security agents.
The Oloso of Oso Ajowa Akoko and the current chairman of Ajowa Oba in council,Oba Jimoh Clement Omoola who spent days in kidnapper’s den said he was not ready to share his bitter experience in captivity with anybody but thanked the state government,his colleagues traditional rulers and the entire Ajowa community.
He called for establishment of a Divisional Police headquarters at Ajowa while check point should be upgraded to cater for military personnels.
The meeting commended the inspector General efforts in making Yuletide a memorable period for citizenry in terms of robust security network round the country.
