The Senior Pastor and host of the 30th anniversary celebration of Triumphant Baptist Church, Akowonjo, Lagos, Rev. Dr Olajide Oke, has described the milestone as a testament to God’s faithfulness and the commitment of members who have sustained the church’s vision over the past three decades.
Oke, in a statement on Thursday, said the anniversary, themed “Celebrating Divine Victory and Fruitfulness,” offers the congregation an opportunity to reflect on the church’s journey and renew its dedication to evangelism, service and community impact.
“This celebration is not just about the passage of time,” he said. “It is about acknowledging God’s faithfulness to this church for 30 years and appreciating the men and women who have laboured faithfully to build and sustain this ministry.”
According to him, the anniversary thanksgiving service will also serve as a moment of spiritual renewal for members and guests attending the programme.
“Thirty years represent a journey of grace, sacrifice and divine guidance. We are using this occasion to thank God for His goodness and to recommit ourselves to the mission of spreading the gospel and impacting our community positively,” Oke said.
The cleric added that the celebration will feature several prominent ministers from the Baptist family.
Among them are the President of the Nigerian Baptist Convention, Rev. Dr Israel Adelani Akanji, and former President of the Convention, Rev. Dr Supo Ayokunle, who are expected to minister during the anniversary events.
Also expected are the Conference President of the Lagos West Baptist Conference, Rev. Dr Samuel O. Oladiran, and the Moderator of The Good News Baptist Association, Rev. Stephen A. Akinniyi.
The programme will also feature gospel ministrations by Ministers Bola Discovery and Adeola Martins, who will lead worship sessions during the celebration.
Oke said the church remains committed to strengthening its evangelistic outreach and nurturing the spiritual growth of members as it moves into a new phase of ministry.
“We desire that this celebration will inspire believers to deepen their faith and continue to live lives that reflect the values of Christ,” he said.
Triumphant Baptist Church will mark its 30th anniversary celebration and thanksgiving service, starting on March 22, with other programmes scheduled from March 23 to March 25, 2026, at its auditorium.
