I have received scores of awards in my professional life, but this one is very significant. At a time some wailing wailers choose to make my object of hateful and derisive remarks (and me I merrily pick my teeth, ignoring them), a body known as Progressive Councillors Forum (PCF) has invested me with ‘Warrior of Truth and Tangible Development’ Award.
The association of past and present elected councilors nationwide, led by its Chairman, Sunday Yusuf Achor, was at State House, Abuja, to present the Award.
I never knew the organization, but was told my name came up when they were considering Nigerians of note to honor. I couldn’t have solicited for the award, neither did it cost me a dime. That is why it is highly appreciated.
Hear Mr. Achor during the award presentation: “We see you as a warrior of truth and tangible development, and have decided to give you this award as an encouragement.”
Where did this Zulum emerge from?
Mr. Achor added that those who don’t seem to appreciate my service now will realize it later.
Very pleasant! Always great to be linked with Truth.
The right was William Shakespeare when he said; “Love sought is good, but given unsought is better.”
