A filmmaker, Violet Avoid, has ended her life a day after celebrating her birthday.
It was gathered that the 33-year-old Zimbabwean’s decision to end her life was rooted in a traumatic experience she endured two months after her rape experience.
Violet was allegedly raped while drunk during a work function.
She initially concealed the incident from her husband while taking medications to prevent pregnancy.
However, Violet discovered that she was pregnant.
Despite her husband’s growing suspicions, Violet continued to deny her pregnancy.
The situation intensified when her husband’s friend, who also happened to be Violet’s boss, intervened.
A heated argument ensued, culminating in a physical altercation that left Violet’s husband seriously injured.
Following the incident, Violet’s husband instructed her to leave their home, homeless and destitute.
The weight of her experiences, compounded by the loss of her marriage and financial stability, became unbearable.
In a tragic decision, Avoid chose to end her life, leaving behind a legacy of talent, resilience, and the enduring scars of a life marked by trauma.
