Atlanta Olympic gold medallist and Super Eagles goal keeper, Dosu Joseph has expressed great confidence in Paul Onuachu’ ability to translate his exploits at the clublevel into the Super Eagles soonest.
Dosu disclosed that Onuachu is a great player noting scoring fourteen goals in the Belgian Division A is not fluke.
“This guy remains his club highest goal scorer and the only Nigerian striker abroad that had scored highest number goals in the on-going season. This goes to confirm that the guy is a great player. You see when Onuachu will start to explode with goals for the Super Eagles everybody will be surprised. Watch out Onuachu goals are coming,” he said confidently.
The former defunct Julius Berger FC safe hand also pleaded with Nigerians not to put him under unnecessary pressure but rather everybody should encourage him as features for Super Eagles.
Just last Sunday the Racing Genk goal poacher brace gave his club 4-2 win against Antwep thus taking his club to first position on the league with 31 points ahead second placed club- Brugge.
It will be recalled Onuachu has scored at least a goal in all the fourteen matches he had played so far.
