Recruitment for Adhoc staff “ll not be on arty basis, says OSSIEC Chairman

Ahead of the October 15 local government elections, Osun Independent Electoral Commission, OSIEC, has said that there will be no political party discrimination in the recruitment of its Ad hoc Staff.

Chairman of OSIEC, Otunba Segun Oladitan while featuring on a radio programme monitored in Akure listed the categories of persons the commission will be hiring for the exercise.

He disabused the mind of interested persons for the assignment that they would ask of their political party before they are employed, saying anyone that is qualified and can perform will be employed.

The OSIEC boss listed serving National Youth Service Corps members, computer guru, civil servants and those considered good for the task, while those living with disabilities would also be considered.

He stressed that the commission would not allow partisanship in its recruitment exercise for the election.

It would be recalled that the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, conducted Osun governorship election on July 16 which was declared in favour of Senator Ademola Adeleke,the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)
