COVID-19: NCDC records 175 new infections, total now 208,153

Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) says the country recorded 175 new cases of COVID-19 across the country in the last 24 hours.
It made this known on its official website on Wednesday morning, adding that the fatality figure remained at 2,756.
It noted that the 175 new cases were a decrease from the 284 cases reported on Tuesday.
It, however, added that the new figure increased the country’s infection toll to 208,153 while 195,936 people were treated and discharged across the country.
It stated that “till date, 208,153 cases have been confirmed, 195,936 cases have been discharged and 2,756 deaths recorded in 36 states of the federation and the FCT.”
COVID-19: NCDC records 35 new cases
The 175 new cases were reported from 10 states of the federation and the FCT, namely: FCT (73), Lagos (34), Rivers (15), Gombe (13), Kano (10), Plateau (8), Katsina (6), Bauchi (5), Delta (5), Benue (4), and Nasarawa (2).
The NCDC said 3,043,321 million samples were tested, noting that a multi-sectorial national emergency operation center (EOC), activated at Level 2, continued to coordinate national response activities.
