NNPP open to alliance with APC, other parties – Rep

The member representing Kiru/Bebeji constituency, Kano, in the House of Representatives, Abdulmumin Jibrin Kofa, has described the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), “as a very promising party” that is still open to collaboration, alliance or merger with the All Progressives Congress (APC), Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Labour Party (LP), or any other party that shows interest, “so long as it is for the good of Nigerians”.

The fourth-term lawmaker also promised to deploy his modest political network to reach out to gladiators in Kano politics towards resolving all resolvable issues and to de-escalate the current tension in the state as a result of the Kano governorship seat.

A statement by the lawmaker’s media aide, Sani Paki, yesterday said he disclosed this at a prayer session for President Bola Tinubu, former Kano governor and the presidential candidate of the NNPP, Rabiu Kwankwaso, Kano State Governor, Abba Yusuf, among others.

Also, after the prayer session, the lawmaker in his usual fashion, hosted 5,000 primary school kids across his constituency, where he provided school kits and assured the people of the good plans of the federal and state governments, especially on free education and school feeding programmes.

He prayed for the success of Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf at the Supreme Court, and himself.

During the session, the clerics completed the Quran 1,101 times and offered special prayers.

In his brief remarks, the lawmaker said his relationship with President Tinubu was no secret, adding that Kwankwaso is his mentor and he would continue to support a harmonious relationship between the president and Kwankwaso.
