The Nigeria Communications Commission, NCC has stated that it is ready to expand digital access to consumers.
It decried the exploitation of vulnerable customers by unscrupulous people who exploit them for illicit gains.
Leading a roadshow on the streets of Abuja to mark 2022 World Consumer Rights Day on Tuesday, the Senior Manager, Consumer Affairs, Margret Amaku explained that despite the challenges, the commission was also working hard to bring in those who lack access to digital platforms for now.
She further said there was a need for consumers to know their rights and how to uphold them.
The Manager, Consumer Affairs, however, noted that an increase in infrastructure would increase digital inclusion and enable the country to achieve its 80 percent digital inclusion in the next four years.
