A former presidential aide, Reno Omokri has said that the Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike deserves more than the post of a Vice President.

Omokri said this on Monday during an interview  on Arise TV.

He said “Governor Wike is probably too big to become vice president. I see him as someone who will become the president after PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar.

“He is a man who has charisma, a man who has courage, a man who is capable of redefining Nigeria and such a person understands the larger issues.”

According to Omokri, Atiku describes Wike as the “Jagaban of the PDP”, adding that the Governor understood the “bigger picture.”

“Governor Wike has told us in private and also in public that he’s never going to leave the party,

“What is going on right now is a media creation, there is no crisis in our party,” Omokri added.

Recall that Atiku had jettisoned Wike, who was the PDP screening committee’s choice, and picked Delta State Governor, Ifeanyi Okowa as his running mate for the 2023 presidential election.
