
The Nigeria Police Force has said it would prosecute LGBTQ members featured in a viral video challenge.
The announcement was made after an X user called out the Nigerian Police Force to question the legality of LGBTQ rights in Nigeria.
Responding to this, Muyiwa Adejobi, the Force PRO stated: “They are criminal and punishable under the law. We are on this clip to take necessary action according to the provisions of the law in Nigeria.

“These are unnatural offences and are totally condemned. Thanks.”
The LGBTQ members joined a global challenge displaying how people think of them.
ThisNigeria reports that Nigeria has an anti-gay law which carries up to 14-years imprisonment.
