The Executive Secretary of the Plateau State Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board, Rev. Fr George Gorap, has said that no pilgrim from the state absconded in its 2020 maiden Pilgrimage exercise to the Kingdom of Jordan. Gorap made this disclosure while speaking with newsmen in his office in Jos on Wednesday.
He said ” I must commend the Pilgrims from Plateau for how they conducted themselves orderly. ” Rev Gorap thanked God for granting pilgrims success in the 2020 Pilgrimage exercise to Jordan.
“Pilgrims from Plateau distinguished themselves with high spirituality and attitudinal changes to justify the pilgrimage.”
“I commend the orderly manner the Pilgrims from Plateau conducted themselves.” He affirmed that Governor Lalong had sponsored the highest number of Pilgrims from 2018 to date.

Rev Gorap also commended the Plateau State Governor, Rt Hon Simon Lalong for leading in the sponsorship of pilgrims to Holy pilgrimage. “Our Governor has always been supportive and determined to better the lives of citizens of the state.”
Gorap also commended the Plateau State Governor for his peace-building efforts, adding that with peace businesses would thrive and investors would be attracted to invest in the state.
He commended the Jordanian government for the reception granted to the state delegation and Pilgrims while in the Holy Land. It would be recalled that the 2020 maiden Pilgrimage to Jordan commenced on 24th August 2021 with the inaugural flight from the Yakubu Gowon Airport, Heipang, Jos
