Nigerian Coach gets two years ban for fixing matches

The Coach of Cofine FC of Rivers State, Remmy Amadi, has been ban for two years for allegedly  fixing matches.

Coach Amadi was reported to have allegedly fixed matches at the 2021 National League One (NLO) in Calabar zone

This also lead the to his team Cofine FC being thrown out of the ongoing 2021 National League One

The NLO Secretariat after much investigation fined Cofine FC N500, 000 and said that the results of Cofine FC in their matches in 2021 NLO season were cancelled and that all previous matches played were through match fixing.

The NLO stated that the allegations of match fixing against Coach Remmy Amadi of Cofine FC was ‘very grievous offence,’ which can bring the game to disrepute.

The NLO also warned clubs to desist from desperate moves to qualify for promotion, insisting that it would not tolerate any act of misconduct before, during and after every game.
