A 48-year-old suspected paedophile, Adekola Adeshina, has been nabbed by the operatives of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command attached to the Apo Divisional Police Headquarters for allegedly sexually molesting a 10-year-old girl, Faith Solomon, in the neighbourhood.
The Police Command in a statement by its spokesperson, Josephine Adeh, a Superintendent (SP), disclosed that the Apo Divisional Police Headquarters at about 10:15hrs of 22/2/23 received a complaint from one Rose Solomon, whose residence is located behind-Prince & Princess Estate that she was suspecting her neighbour, Adekola Adeshina, a 48-year-old of violating her daughter sexually.
The police spokesperson noted that the suspect shortly after being arrested and interrogated, voluntarily confessed in a written statement to have carried out the act severally.
According to Adeh, while the 10-year-old girl is undergoing a medical examination, the Commissioner of Police FCT Command, Sadiq Idris Abubakar called on parents and guardians to exercise greater level of attention to changes in the behavioural pattern of their wards around individuals and ensure that measures are put in place to shield them against sexual crimes.
