Social media activist, Martins Otse, aka VeryDarkMan (VDM) has been released from the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
The development was confirmed by a former presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore, in a Facebook post on Wednesday.
According to Sowore in the short post, the activist has regained his freedom. Sowore wrote, “VDM Released!”
Recall that the blogger Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has finally revealed the reason for arresting social media activist, Martins Otse, aka VeryDarkMan (VDM).
Recall that in a post on its verified Facebook page on Tuesday, the anti-graft agency claimed that the blogger was arrested for ignoring invites to answer petitions of allegations of financial crimes against him.
The agency also denied claims that the blogger was arrested based on his constant attacks on EFCC.
VeryDarkMan was arrested outside the premises of a branch of Guaranty Trust Bank where he went to lay a complaint about the unapproved deduction of funds in his mother’s account with the bank.
