Oruma debunks ill health speculation, says he’s hale and healthy

By Francis Ajuonuma

Former Nigerian international, Wilson Oruma has debunked claims trending in social media that he has been sick and down with a mental challenge.

TNSports can recall that Oruma’s alleged health challenge has been in speculation for some time now with some football-loving Nigerians expressing concern.

However, Oruma in a video shot that also featured his younger brother, Dominic Oruma and made available on the Nigeria Sports Centre platform, described the claims as untrue and the handy work of fraudsters, who want to use Oruma’s popularity to defraud innocent Nigerians, insisting that he is hale and healthy.

The video taken on May 2, showed a well-healthy Wilson Oruma with no sign of ill health taking a walk around his residence.

“My name is Dominic Oruma and I’m with my elder brother, Wilson Oruma. Today is the second day of May 2023 and we’re taking a walk. I had to come to his residence and join him for a morning walkout.

“This is Wilson Oruma, for those using his name to defraud and say all sorts of things- that he is on the hospital bed; the man on the hospital bed is taking his morning work which he does every day as routine, and goes back home and refresh. So, this is just to let everyone know and his fans out there, as well as the world to know that this is not true.

“The man is healthy and doing his normal routine exercise just to keep the body and soul. So, please disregard anything you are hearing from people, this is him walking in his park,” said Dominic Oruma, while Wilson Oruma nodded in approval.
