Following the arrest and detention of human rights lawyer, Dele Farotimi, the 2023 presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC), Omoyele Sowore, has called for a nationwide and global protest.
Recall that Sowore on Tuesday disclosed that Farotimi, an activist and a member of the Labour Party (LP) was “abducted” by the police.
The activist was on Tuesday remanded in prison over allegation of defamation against a senior lawyer, Afe Babalola (SAN) in his book, “Nigeria and its criminal justice system”.
Reacting, Sowore in a post he made on X, called for a global protest against the Nigerian judiciary.
