No Restriction Of Movement As Monthly Environmental Sanitation Holds In Ogun On Saturday

Ogun State Government has announced that the monthly Environmental Sanitation Exercise will hold on Saturday between the hours of 7.00a.m. to 10.am.
However, there will not be restriction of movement across the twenty local government areas of the state due to the prevailing situation in the country.
A statement by the Commissioner for Environment in the state, Abiodun Abudu-Balogun, appealed to residents to use the period of the exercise to clear their drainage channels as well as ensure that their premises/surroundings are kept clean.
While thanking the public for their continuous support, the government enjoins them to keep a clean, safe and healthy environment.
He frowned at indiscriminate dumping of wastes in inappropriate places as well as threatened that any violator of will be prosecuted in accordance with the state’s environmental laws.
Meanwhile, surveillance by security personnel, particularly operatives of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps were still noticed in some part of Abeokuta, the state capital, particularly at Ibara under bridge as at filing this report.
