The Supreme Court on Tuesday upheld Senator Ademola Adeleke’s victory as the winner of the July 16 governorship election conducted in Osun state.
The court discarded the appeal of former governor, Adegboyega oyetola of the All progressive Congress(APC) challenging the outcome of the election.
According to the judgement read by Justice Emmanuel Agim, the supreme court held that Oyetola failed to present enough evidence to back up his claims of over voting by Adeleke in the election.
The judgement by the court was affirmed by the entire five members of the panel.
