
A Federal High Court in Abuja has granted bail to the immediate past governor of Anambra State, Willie Obiano.
The former governor was on Tuesday arraigned before the court by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
Obiano is standing trial on a 9- count corruption charge bordering on alleged N4 billion fraud.
Justice Inyang Ekwo of the federal high court ordered that the former governor be released on bail on specific conditions.

Ekwo ordered that the former governor should be restricted to the court jurisdiction.
He also ordered the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission to deposit the defendant’s travel documents with the court registrar and ordered the registrar to notify the Nigerian Immigration Service of the development.
The case was adjourned till March 4,5,6 and 7 for continuation of trial.
